Venus retrograde is an invitation to descend: to turn from the familiar surface of life and enter the rich, shadowed terrain of the soul.
This is not a descent as failure, exile, or loss. It is the ancient movement of the archetypal feminine—the journey beneath appearances, beneath inherited expectations, beneath the versions of ourselves that have learned to please, perform, or survive. It is the passage through which a deeper beauty, authority, creativity, and desire can be recovered.

In this workshop, we will enter Venus retrograde through the myths of Inanna, Persephone, and Psyche.
Inanna descends through the seven gates, relinquishing what she has carried in order to meet herself in the underworld. Persephone enters the realm below and becomes not only a daughter, but a sovereign. Psyche follows a path of impossible tasks, guided by love, curiosity, and the intelligence of the soul. Together, these myths offer a living map for the heroine’s journey: descent, encounter, initiation, and return.

Venus retrograde offers a potent invitation to make this journey consciously.
Rather than asking only what we desire or what we hope to attract, we will listen for the deeper questions:

What is my soul asking me to release?
What has been waiting in the underworld of my life for my attention?
What wants to be dreamed, imagined, created, or spoken into being?
What form of feminine wisdom is ready to emerge through me?
How might I become a more devoted storyteller of my own life?

This is an ensouled, experiential workshop. We will work with Venus in each participant’s natal chart as a personal mythic compass, while also entering the collective archetypal field of Venus: love, desire, beauty, creativity, relationship, value, and the power to create meaning.

Our work will include guided meditation and visualization, dreammaking, journaling, story circles, ritual, art-making, embodied reflection, and mythic exploration. We will use image, symbol, memory, and imagination as ways of listening to the intelligence that speaks beneath ordinary consciousness.
Over the course of the retrograde, participants will be invited into a creative apprenticeship with Venus: a sustained practice of tending dreams, gathering symbols, making art, and allowing a more authentic story to reveal itself.

The workshop is designed to reconnect us to our inner labyrinth, inviting us to follow its winding passages,  and trust that each turn is part of the path. 
 Whether you are new to astrology or have studied it for years, this workshop offers a way to encounter your chart as a living story; an alchemical guide to the particular journey your soul is here to make.
This will be a small, intimate Zoom gathering, limited to ten participants.

Each participant has the option for a private 30-minute session with me to explore the messages and mythic terrain of their natal Venus more deeply.

This class is for anyone who feels called to explore the archetypal feminine hero’s journey: a journey not of conquest, but of descent. In many familiar myths, the hero travels outward to claim a destiny: Jason and the Argonauts, Hercules, Theseus, Frodo’s journey in The Lord of the Rings. Yet the feminine path often moves inward and below: Inanna, Persephone, and Psyche descend into mystery, meet what has been hidden, and return transformed.

Each of us carries both these archetypal movements. Yet the outward, masculine journey is often more culturally valued. This class honors the equally vital wisdom of descent, for anyone longing to listen more deeply to their dreams, creativity, desires, and the mythic story unfolding within their own life.

A Venus Retrograde workshop centered on the archetypal feminine and the heroine’s journey. The central image is descent: moving inward during Venus retrograde to encounter what is beneath ordinary roles, expectations, and surface identity.

The class draws on the myths of Inanna, Persephone, and Psyche as three maps of feminine initiation:
Inanna: releasing what no longer belongs at the gates of the underworld.
Persephone: descent and a felt sense of sovereignty of one’s inner realm.
Psyche: love, curiosity, trials, and the transformation of the soul.

It is an experiential, creative, and embodied workshop. Practices include guided meditation, visualization, dreamwork and dreammaking, journaling, storytelling, ritual, image-making, and art.
